Liposuction Before & After Case 326
Provider: Thomas M. Hagopian MD
Procedures Performed Liposuction
Patient Age 52
Patient Gender Female
Before surgery, this patient presented with significant soft-tissue fullness and irregular surface texture throughout both thighs, extending from the upper legs to just above the knees. The volume distribution was disproportionate relative to the lower legs, and the skin surface showed pronounced irregularity across the front, side, and oblique views.
Thomas M. Hagopian MD performed liposuction to address lipedema, a condition in which abnormal fat accumulates in the legs and is resistant to diet and exercise. Her symptoms had been progressive and worsened with each pregnancy. For prospective patients researching liposuction in Atlanta, this case illustrates what the procedure can address in the context of lipedema: a meaningful reduction in thigh volume and a smoother surface contour across all three views shown.
After surgery, the photos show a visible reduction in thigh circumference and a less irregular skin surface. The disproportion between the upper and lower legs is less pronounced, and the overall silhouette of both legs appears more uniform from front, side, and oblique angles. Dr. Hagopian is a board-certified plastic surgeon with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
