They harvest fat from a targeted area (often the abdomen) via liposuction, process it, and then inject it above the gluteal muscles to give the buttocks a fuller and shapelier appearance.
An ideal Brazilian butt lift candidate is someone in good general health who has enough fat in donor areas to transfer to the buttocks to create their ideal look. You’ll also enjoy your best and longest-lasting results if you have the procedure done while you are at or near a stable goal weight.

Meet Dr. Courtney CrippsMost people return to desk work after about 2 weeks. However, you’ll need to avoid sitting or lying directly on your backside for at least 2 to 4 weeks. This prevents your results from becoming misshapen and makes sure as much fat as possible remains in the buttocks.
Not all the volume you see directly after your surgery will last. Typically, about 60 to 80% of the grafted fat cells survive, so you’ll notice a slight decrease in size over the initial weeks of your recovery. It may take up to 6 months for any lingering swelling to subside and for you to see your final results.
You will have a very small incision where your surgeon inserts the cannula to perform liposuction. Once healed, these scars are typically barely visible. Because our surgeons inject the processed fat into your buttocks, you shouldn’t have any visible scarring in that area.
