Specialized Care for Lipedema Patients
Dr. Cripps has a special interest in caring for patients with lipedema, a chronic condition characterized by abnormal fat accumulation that can cause pain, swelling, mobility challenges, and changes in body contour.
Treating lipedema often requires thoughtful surgical planning that extends beyond removing diseased fat. Many patients undergo treatment in stages and may ultimately benefit from additional body contouring procedures to restore comfort, function, and proportion.
Dr. Cripps’ background in reconstructive surgery uniquely prepares her for this type of comprehensive care. Years of managing complex surgical cases have strengthened her ability to thoughtfully sequence procedures, navigate challenging anatomy, and coordinate long-term treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Her extensive experience with body contouring also allows her to carefully reshape the body while preserving healthy tissue and creating smooth, natural contours. This combination of reconstructive expertise and aesthetic judgment helps patients achieve results that not only improve appearance but also support mobility, comfort, and quality of life.
