There are no words to express how wonderful my experience with Hagopian Plastic Surgery has been. I was diagnosed with Lipedema in April of 2024. Finding the correct plastic surgeon to treat this condition is extremely critical. I met Dr. Hagopian a year ago and my life has been transformed. Dr. Hagopian in my opinion is the Jedi Master of this treatment. When I came to him my legs were enormous and I had huge lumps of lipedema on the inside of each knee/thigh area (see attached picture-June 2025). My thighs and legs were so heavy that I had trouble walking up the stairs and I would drag my feet behind me when I walked. I was in constant pain from the inflammation of this disease and for the most part had stopped living life due to the debilitating nature of Lipedema. I have now completed two surgeries for the removal of the Lipedema and a thigh lift (due to the excess skin from the removal of the lipedema). My legs now are beautiful! But the best part is my health and wellbeing have been restored. (see attached picture: January 2026) I am no longer in pain living with excruciating inflammation. I am able to bound up the stairs, walk without dragging my feet behind me. I have so much energy and stamina I feel as though I am in my forties again, though I am currently 63 years old. My life is 180 degrees from where it was a year ago and though these surgeries are difficult and take time to heal from, they are worth all the time, effort and energy to have achieved the results I am now enjoying. I know I would not be where I am today but for the remarkable staff and Dr. Hagopian's surgical abilities. I trust and highly recommend Hagopian Plastic Surgery to treat the debilitating disease of Lipedema. I am so grateful for having the privilege to experience that health is beautiful thing and not to ever be taken for granted.
Updating my review: I am beyond blessed to have found such a great team to work with. Jane, Mallory and Dr. H have been so supportive to work with. After my first surgery, my legs are almost pain free, so much lighter. I have muscle definition! I am 1 month away from my second surgery. Can't wait to have a great experience again!
I had consultations with 4 other surgeons claiming to be experienced in Lipedema. Dr H was the first to actually prove it with higher stages of Lipedema case loads and results. His bedside manner is impeccable and seems to come naturally to him. Mallory and Jane are the complete package. Highly educated in the field, make you feel heard and confident going into any procedure. Down to Amber in the billing department I just can’t say enough. I’ve put in a lot of work on myself and Dr H is the one that is helping me complete the journey to gaining my life back. Forever grateful.

I recently had my first of two lipedema surgeries with Dr. Hagopian, and I cannot recommend him enough!! I am still healing, but I am stunned at the difference in my legs already!! He has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about my condition and how to treat it. Dr Hagopian and his staff are incredibly kind, and wonderful to work with. Both Mallory and Jane have been great about returning my messages, answering any questions or concerns I might have, and the whole entire process has been surprisingly easier than I expected. I am so glad I chose to do my surgeries with Dr Hagopian!
Dr. H, Jane and Mallory are all excellent providers. I never feel like a burden when I ask questions, and they explain things throughly. They are all very well versed in their professions and make me feel seen and heard. They made sure I understood the procedures and what was expected for after care. I will miss them when I am done with my procedures but will forever be grateful for giving me back my quality of life.

I am currently 3 days post op, recovering from Lipedema surgery 1 of 3. Finding answers and physicians that don't just say "you will feel fine if you lost weight" has been enlightening. Dr. H is busy, but you feel his caring nature anytime you meet with him, and even through his staff, whom are exceptional. Recovery is a struggle, but I know it will be worth it, and I know Dr. H and his team are on this journey with me.
